Northeast Texas Children's Museum

We were blessed this week to have the opportunity to visit the Northeast Texas Children's Museum in Commerce, Texas. During our stay, we learned about bubbles, solid/liquids/gases, animals on the farm, and healthy foods. Then, we were treated to a plethora of learning stations where we played, explored, and observed our world around us. If you ever get the chance to visit this children's museum, take it...you will be glad you did! :)

Here is a show and some pictures of our fun day! Leave us a comment and let us know what you think! :)

When I Grow Up...

After having met all of our community helpers and discussed the many jobs that people have in our community, we wrote about what we hoped to be when we grow up. We also dressed up in our future community helpers uniforms and took pictures using our iPads. Then, we made a keynote of our pictures. We hope you enjoy seeing us dressed up as what we hope to become one day!

Here is our newsletter and homework for this week. Ask your child about the community helpers that we have been enjoying this past week. You can also begin thinking about what type of transportation project you and your child would like to make together. Also, please take time to prepare your child for MAP testing by making sure he/she eats a good breakfast and gets plenty of sleep the night before our tests. We are testing on Monday, September 18th and Tuesday, September 19th. College Day is Tuesday, September 19th as well. Your child may wear a college shirt and jeans to celebrate on that day!
